@gregor I just want to turn off and on some modest Christmas lights but it's lead me down this rabbit hole! Maybe I'll put a temperature sensor in the greenhouse too... what are you finding most useful?

@caolan I feel like the “Hello, world!” of home automation is subtle underbed lights and in bathroom when getting up at night so that’s what I started with. I’ll do some more lights with WLED. We did buy a home that we are remodeling, so that will probably Be my new hobby for a long, long time

@caolan For kitchen I want to install lots of LED lights. WLED for accent and analog LED strips for primary lights. There is so much to learn 😅 It feels like Quindor from https://quinled.info/ single-handedly makes makes this so fun and accessible to everyone, love that guy! True treasure

@gregor That looks fun. I'd not seen that project before. Do you plan to use LED strips for more than just worktop lighting, then?

@caolan also for kick toes and as part of the primary lights. We plan on using LED channels with 40mm space, so space enough for 2 analog strips for primary light, and one digital strip in the middle for ambiance.
