So, having listened to all the pundits, and sifted out the utterly inaccurate from the completely ignored...

The US election was about a lot of people who wanted to reclaim their rights to be assholes, vs a lot of people who didn't.

AFAIK, that right was never ceded. But it may pale in time, especially as other freedoms evaporate.

When it does, maybe the majority of the US electorate will actually be able to vote sensibly.

In the interim, shoulders are available to cry on.
