@piero In some cases a good old fashioned dead tree log book is better. YMMV

@piero When a drive goes toast on my mirrored system it's sure nice having a print out of what to do and partitions etc. An electronic blog on a laptop until the disk in the laptop fails. ;)

@piero I believe my notes and scripts from the last time I was setting up for a daily driver are on a different BSD box buried under an infinite amount of house moving stuff. I was planning on putting it up somewhere, but never quite qot around to it.

@hypostase Oh, it's not about me. I mostly cope just fine with my BSD adventures (except maybe when it's USB HID, then @joel saves my day). I was just willing to share the solution with somewhat else.

@piero @joel I’m not sure my solutions would work for others, but it’d be nice to have that option, or be able to refer back when I recognise I’ve done it before, and had opinions, just not quite sure what and why.
