📚 requesting recommendations for escapist fiction
due to gestures at the world and planet I'm looking for easy-to-digest books - lately I've mostly failed at devoting sustained attention to reading, so I need to rebuild that habit
past examples include Old Man's War (though I've already read all of Scalzi's works), Jemisin's Broken Earth series (arguably not exactly eupeptic, but certainly absorbing) and Kowal's Lady Astronaut universe
