@KeithDJohnson Do you get the same error with NewPipe, PipePipe, FetchIt, or yt-dlp? (Could also try using them in conjunction with Orbot/torify, or a VPN.)

NewPipe and PipePipe are unofficial libre apps for YouTube. They allow you to watch (and download) videos from YouTube and other sites, without ads. PipePipe also supports SponsorBlock, allowing you to skip sponsored sections of videos.

@KeithDJohnson NewPipe and PipePipe are (I think) only available from F-Droid. F-Droid is a libre app store for Android which is very strict about only providing libre apps by default, so it's free of all the malware present on the Play Store.
