The #democrats need to have a #left agenda that excites people enough to turnout and provides a meaningfully different vision for the country than the status quo that shows workers how their lives will be clearly better. However, they shouldn't speak the language of #leftism in doing so and instead emphasize freedom as the basis.

Policies that result in the median voter paying more #taxes are difficult. The #democrats need a #policy vision that doesn't raise taxes on the median #voter

Policy ideas

• Tax exemptions/deductions for #WorkerCooperatives and investment in worker #coops

• Special tax exempt status for #WorkerCoops

• Use corporate tax revenue to buy some shares of that company and put those in a trust democratically governed by workers in that company.

Replace the corporate #tax revenue

• Progressive consumption tax on luxurious levels of consumption

• Progressive income tax on the rich without raising rates on poor and middle class Americans

@gooba42 @politics I'm not sure that there will be a next election. We shouldn't sit and wait for a next election that might never come. We need to organize and engage in direct action. Direct action gets the goods
