OUT NOW: #KonKoop's new In:Security report investigates how #Latvia, #Moldova and #Ukraine have decoupled their #energy systems from Russia’s over the last few years. Long-held beliefs about energy-generated peace have lost validity, the report shows. Western Europe can learn from Central and Eastern European states and adopt energy policies that account for ‘ordinary’ consumers' and businesses' perceptions.

The report by Nadja Douglas, Sophie Lambroschini, Michael LaBelle, Vineta Kleinberga, Ana Otilia Nutu and Andrian Prokip is based on the 2024 workshop ‘The Risks of Decoupling: Post-Soviet Critical Infrastructure Legacies, New Challenges and the Societal Dimension’ organised by the research network #KonKoop (‘Cooperation and Conflict in Eastern Europe’), funded by by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
