To those caught up in the anxiety about "All the what-ifs", recognize that all of those what-ifs do not exist. They are fantasies about possible or potential futures. They do not exist and therefore, we are powerless to actually do anything about them.
Our powerlessness over the future is the cause of our anxiety. We can manage our anxiety by disciplining ourselves to concentrate on only what is most likely in the near term. Let's use today's energy on things we can do today. Staying in the present allows us to be more effective in constructing our future.
This usually requires the self discipline to decide as often as necessary to reject the nebulous what-ifs and focus on the present and near future where we have agency to effect change.
