fedi i need your help.

i have a ryzen 3600 radeon rx 580, should i upgrade? i find my system to be slow every now and then but its still useable. could i keep my same rig and just get cpu/gpu upgrades?

i wanna keep my motherboard its an asrock b450m

@not_benis @splitshockvirus mainly web browsing, overwatch 2, video editing, programming. I do a lot with my rig but my cpu is too weak when i have everything open and my gpu is too old to handle a lot of the games i play. i have enough ram, upgrading that fixed some things but its still a slow system at times for my use

@karson777 @splitshockvirus unfortunately its VCore VRM is mid-tier, so the best you can safely upgrade to is a 5800X/X3D. If I were in your shoes I'd build a new AM5 system, but I understand it can be a pretty big expense.

my brother has a spare Radeon RX 580

I could buy everything else and use the old GPU in the meantime

then buy a new GPU when I'm out of school and gaming more since most of my tasks rely heavy on the cpu right now
