Die Firma Reaction Engines ist pleite.

Ich habe ja ein Faible für mutige Tech-Firmen im Bereich Luft- und Raumfahrt, die unter Technik mehr verstehen als Software. Dazu gehörte #ReactionEngines. Ihr combined-cycle-Antrieb mit Wärmetauscher hatte das Potential, die #Raumfahrt eine Größenordnung energieeffizienter zu machen. Jetzt ist das Geld alle.

Wir verlieren zu viele gute Ideen an Buchhalter.

@schreibmax I don’t understand why it is possible to invest billons in to pre-production prototypes for hydrogen powered transportation - we know is not going anywhere and is bad for the environment - and the UK Govt or some other European fund could not scrap few tens of mil for keeping afloat this groundbreaking technology research team. Which has already put ultra efficient heat exchangers into applications.

@WuMing2 Indeed, it’s sad. Then again apparently their sales were a long way from supporting their r&d. I wonder why the government didn’t choose to support the tech, though.

@schreibmax they should have taxed supplies of drinkable water. Govt privatized the industry years ago and corporations raked up profits with very little investments since then.
