And I'm honored to have met so many of you. I’m thinking of the farmer who drove half an hour to meet me at an event just so he could tell me he was so excited someone was talking about growing produce. I’m thinking of the farmworkers who swapped stories with me about harvest seasons.

I've heard from North Carolinians all across our great state about the change we need to turn around our farm economy, create real opportunity in our small towns and rural communities, and make sure NCDACS employees (including our Forest Service) and animal shelters have the resources they need to do their jobs.

I'm feeling good about tomorrow. Regardless of what happens, thank you all for your support. I'm truly touched that so many people have given time and energy to this campaign.
