I'm re-reading Doctorow's #Walkaway and started to wonder, are there people today who are already trying to achieve something similar? The #Fediverse seems like a good start.

My question was much too broad. I don't mean all the sci-fi parts, but the ideals that are trying to be achieved that I would best define as #solarpunk.
