I’m here on Mastodon because I found an instance with good moderation.

I had to move at least once, and let’s be absolutely clear I’m privileged on at least two axes as you can see from my profile pic.

If the barriers to entry are too high, and you get smacked with racist shit that’s not easily stoppable, you’re going to go elsewhere.

Right now, the network effect for any of the other new platforms which aren’t Twitter are noticeable, but not insurmountable.
