I've heard there's discussion of when you should or shouldn't give trick-or-treaters candy, so here's a handy guide:

• They don't have a costume: ✅ give them candy
• They look too old: ✅ give them candy
• They didn't say "trick or treat" or "please" or "thank you": ✅ give them candy
• They came to your house already: ✅ give them candy
• They're not from your neighborhood: ✅ give them candy
• Their parents drive them door to door: ✅ give them candy
