Been having a problem with #CenturyLink #GigabitFiber in Denver, CO the last 3 days. For several hours ping times shoot up to 50-80 ms, download speed plunges to 1-10 Mbps, and I get packet loss of 10-20% to internet hosts. Upload speed is also reduced, but not as much.
This happened from about 18:00-00:00 Friday and Saturday night. Sunday it happened from 12:00-00:00. But outside of those hours I’ve had my normal 2-4 ms pings with ~930 Mbps up and down.

I've tried all the usual things like rebooting my ONT and gateway, and replacing the ethernet cable between them. Because the problem varies with the time of day, it seems like it can’t be a hardware problem though. More like something going wrong in a network facility?

Happening again tonight. Started up almost like clockwork at around 18:00. Ping times shoot up to around 60 ms, download speed in the single-digit Mbps, packet loss to internet hosts. #CenturyLInk #GigabitFiber. Why?
