Planting trees to sequester CO2 is a relatively short term thing. Eventually they may die and release it or be used in building as long as that building stands and then get burnt or left to rot. Planting trees is putting off the problem until tomorrow even though that tomorrow may be many years from now

@John_Loader it is peat, moss and bogs that per square acre absorb much, much more co2 than trees

@Geri it’s when they are burnt on grouse moors annoys me. Just so rich folk can kill wild birds
