people treat "the second person narration was actually first person" as this big twist but like, one it's kinda obvious that it's gideon's soul inside harrow narrating the thing when you start reading, and the only thing that throws you off is that even though it's canonically gideon narrating, it's clearly written in harrow's voice and it's actually very jarring when it changes to first person and suddenly it's written in gideon's voice again (for those unaware: gideon talks like lesbian dave strider and harrow talks like if kanaya was an edgy loner instead of the mom friend)
