[#]WritersCoffeeClub #Writing October 22: What's your favourite writing convention to eschew?
Overly formal grammar. I don't even recognize when I write a sentence fragment, or use punctuation in the slightly wrong way, or have a run-on sentence. Who cares? It's understandable anyways to any human with a functioning brain.
I think just about the only wrong way to enjoy fiction is to scrutinize the phrasing of things. The meaning is the same in any case, and grammar is a social construct.
