I spent quite a bit of time on this over the past couple of weeks, but I am pretty happy with the shape gtk-meshtastic-client is in. It supports (that I think) are the most used features in the GUI client, and can be run on a linux mobile device (Like my #librem5 ) or on a Desktop/Laptop!

Right now the primary issue is many of the functions are synchronous and they need to be redone as async for better performance.
