Doing that thing where I want to buy a new piece of tech but I spend months torturing myself about whether I really need or not. This time I’m thinking about replacing my 2018 iPad Pro because it’s getting a bit sluggish. Thinking of getting a refurb M2 Pro because idk if I can l justify getting the new M4 but maybe I should just get an Air but it’s so hard to decide…

@tommarmstrong A 2018 device in the M-series era is objectively sluggish! And I got the M1 Air in 2020 and it's still hella fast, but it's worth paying to upgrade both memory and storage if you do buy an Air.

@engagedpractx haha you’re probably right that an M series chip would help. Seems the chip between the current air and the old refurb pro are basically the same

@tommarmstrong True. But, also, speccing up an Air brings the cost a lot closer to the Pro 🤔
