I wonder if you could 'fake' a bridge without a homeserver by having a client that just posts SMS chats to a dedicated per-SMS room. Monitoring for chats created by another client could be used to trigger outgoing SMSes...

I wish there were more hours in the day :(

@okennedy@social.sdf.org @agx@librem.one Yes, something simple would be great already: one room, all incoming sms. Option to enable sending sms like [number|contact name]: [SMS text].

I've got already a room Notes to myself that I use like a clipboard sometimes.
