Where am I supposed to report new #postmarketos issues, since https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues gives the following message?
"This is an archived project. Repository and other project resources are read-only."

@fossdd I have a Gitlab account since before, but it seems I can't use that account for signing into postmarketos on Gitlab. Is that the way it is supposed to be?

@fossdd I created a new account, because it I got wrong e-mail or password using my existing credentials, despite being logged into Gitlab.com. Now waiting for approval. Not very user friendly in my opinion, also requiring pwd of at least 30 chars! I now have one account for Gitlab.com, one for gitlab.gnome.org and one for gitlab.postmarketos.org.

@tomasoqvist
Gitlab.com and PostmarketOS's Gitlab are two different instances. So you need an account on each of those (as you found out). There is work being done on federation so things will be easier in the future. But it is very early.

@chfkch @fossdd Ok, I understand, thanks. Interestingly enough I can't use my Gitlab.com username in any of the other two...and it is not likely that someone else is using that very username, as it is never taken when I register to different sites around the web.

@tomasoqvist @chfkch @fossdd oauth should have worked, allowing you to sign in using your gitlab.com login. What failed for you exactly?

@craftyguy @chfkch @fossdd I got the message that username or password was incorrect.

@tomasoqvist @chfkch @fossdd weird, I think others have been able to log in that way. IIRC accounts still have to be approved, so maybe that's why it appeared to fail?

@tomasoqvist I just approved what I think was the account you used for oauth, could you try to login again via gitlab.com?
if that still doesn't work then ping me on chat and I'll try to help sort it out. We specifically enabled oauth support on our instance so that folks don't have to make new accounts, so I'm sorry to hear that it's not going smoothly for you

@craftyguy I am already logged into Gitlab.com, but the login doesn't work for gitlab.postmarketos.org. However, my newly created account with a 30 char password is acknowledged, but I don't get any confirmation e-mail. Therefore can't proceed...

@tomasoqvist check junk folder? gmail seems to be filing mails from our instance there for some people, even though we are doing everything correctly.
I approved the other account request. If you have further problems, reach out to us on chat and we can more quickly work through them.

@craftyguy Nothing in the spam folder. Gitlab.com still invalid credentials. I will get back to this at a later time. All I wanted, really, was to file a couple bug reports, but that will have to wait.
