Any hints how to get a response from #Fairphone support? It's been almost a week since I contacted them regarding a warranty case (a broken hinge on an only 3mo old Fairbuds XL 🎧) and except for the auto responder it's total radio silence. (I''m pretty dependent on the noise canceling feature).

@agx Have you tried their Live Chat? That and their (limited) business hours at https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us (lower half). The broken headband base is a known issue: https://forum.fairphone.com/t/headband-base-weak-plastic/99406/33?u=urs_lesse

(NOTE: Despite the account name, we are not company staff). /u

@WeAreFairphone

The broken hinge is a known issue

Oh dear. Thanks for letting me know.

Have you tried their Live Chat?

Not yet. They don't specify a timezone. Is that UTC?

@WeAreFairphone

So I tried the chat:

First one ends up in "Generated by AI" messages and then a "Customer Support says: We’re getting many chat requests right now, so you may wait longer than usual. Thanks for your patience!" and then nothing happens.

I guess I'll just need switch to another product/company as I'm pretty dependent on NC head phones.

Thanks a lot for your help though!

@WeAreFairphone Replacement parts arrived now so things were pretty fast after the initial quiet period.

@agx @WeAreFairphone I highly recommend aftershokz open air headphones, or their bone conduction ones. Best headphones I've ever purchased and they have a fantastic customer service team in my experience... Long story short I killed the microphone on my bone conduction headphones from them, and they replaced them no questions asked.

@BrianA @WeAreFairphone Thanks for the hint. I need good noise canceling. From what I've read this isn't the case for these?

@agx @WeAreFairphone Unfortunately no. No bone conduction or open-air headphone will be able to do noise cancellation.
