@atpfm @marcoarment @caseyliss @siracusa I’ve been pondering the discussion on the hardware differences b/t the AirPods 4 and the AirPods 4 w/ ANC. Even if the hardware was identical, you’re paying for the extra software. Real people spent time developing the ANC and tuning it for AirPods 4, and that should be worth something.
Outrage over features being “software locked” ends up boiling down to the idea that software should be free and isn’t worth paying for; a premise I wholeheartedly reject.
