It's Noodle Day! We use this day to celebrate the life of innovative author Raymond Federman.
Federman—who wrote experimental fiction that incorporated metafiction, critifiction, surfiction, playgerism—had a remarkable life. The sole survivor of the Holocaust from his family, he immigrated to America at 19. Here he became a paratrooper, university professor, Samuel Beckett scholar and celebrated artistic force. @paulkruczynski I've never read (or heard of) Federman before but that description has me curious! Do you have a recommendation of where to start?

@buffyleigh Hey, and thanks for the interest! I usually recommend Smiles On Washington Square because it’s short, has some Federman tricks/references, looks regular. To jump in his wilder work, Double or Nothing & Take It Or Leave It are both good. If you want a sad, meticulously laid out work, The Voice In The Closet is that (if you can find a print copy, or read it at https://federman.com/voice.htm). The books reflect the times, so expect some sex, death, Holocaust, minor(?) racism, life
