After 6 years of having Nest thermostats I don't regret them but getting them integrated into #HomeAssistant seems to be getting harder and harder.

Given up for now after trying to get them back with Google Nest integration or adding them to Home Bridge.

No idea what has changed but it doesn't like my account anymore.

@Adrian Left my Nest thermostat behind in the old house, I got fed up of chasing the continually evolving integration issues.

Moved to a Hive via Zigbee2MQTT and that’s been working fine all local but did have to create a small custom integration to send the MQTT messages in the right order to turn on/set heat etc.

I also hear good things about the Drayton Wiser, that was a little unstable when I was looking for a solution but seems to have been solved now.

@codechimp I’m currently going through redundancy so not going to change right now.

My HA automations only turn the heating on/away which isn’t a major impact.

@Adrian Ah, not a good time to spend money on smart home tech then just to save getting up to press a button, been there myself and hope you find something soon.

This house has a 70’s style Honeywell in the airing cupboard you couldn’t see so it was a little more inconvenient.
