The framing of the Verge story where the Harvard kids used #Meta smart glasses to dox people was pretty misleading. The fact that they used Meta's glasses was incidental to the process. Any hidden camera connected to an IG Live stream would have accomplished the same thing. The story should be about the privacy concerns of #AI, which powered the whole doxing process. Highlighting the fact that we can put tiny cameras on glasses and connect them to the internet is truly missing the point.
