@defuneste It was one of those random things that popped up a few years ago to much fanfare and then quietly receded after a few hours in the sunshine as folks added it to the pile of GitHub stars that they think will be useful to read later (but sadly they never do) and moved on to whatever garbage fire was happening on the Fediverse/Hellsite that day (I cannot remember if this was pre-or post bird-exodus).

But yeah, I discovered git reset --soft main today and I thought I'd share.

@zkamvar One day I will build a personal project to store my bookmarks and randomly pick one and send me an email asking me to 1. read it / 2. store it in a better way / 3.Skip.

If other spam can do it why not my "persona" spam" !

@defuneste I mean, this is basically just converting one form of bookmarks to another form (as unread emails). There's really no way out of this hole, Olivier.

@zkamvar ahah true, let's add some counters "number of bookmark read", "bookmark added" and gamify it a bit: "supper reader" / "super hoarder", add a ladder :)

But maybe the goal is not to go out of this hole but just having a nice "message in a bootle " of your past bookmark interest ✉️
