While I can definitely sympathize with the frustration of the disclosure process, this https://www.evilsocket.net/2024/09/26/Attacking-UNIX-systems-via-CUPS-Part-I/ just dumped it by surprise on the shoulders of dozens of people handling it for distributions, some of them volunteers. They have to rush fixes out, caring people (including in CERTs) have to raise awareness to end users with workarounds. I don’t think it was the right move.
