after cohost, i'll try not to use any new social media, i'm not joining bluesky, i'm not joining cara. i'll try getting a RSS list of people's accounts.
fedi, tumblr, RSS
maybe I can join some patreons, even if I don't understand how that site works at all

if people make websites, maybe like neocities, and have RSS on them, maybe that can replace cohost ? but if asking people to choose a fedi instance is already too technical for the bigger population, I can't imagine "create a website" will be more accessible. maybe there's a way to integrate bigger blogs and websites into fedi ?

@araly people were creating websites over 20years ago with less resources and less info available, it’s doable, but there needs to be some work involved. A lot of people don’t even like the act of registering an account, let’s see how it goes.

@djlink it's easy to forget how much we know, and how much the general population doesn't.
even if it is pretty easy now to make a website through neocities or similar, most people don't know that you can, don't know about neocities, don't know to even think about having a website as a possibility.
but i think a big part of that is less technical knowledge and more that for most people, the internet is twitter, reddit, and youtube.
if anything, this is me screaming to people: MAKE WEBSITES !
