@mms Saw your post on YouTube addiction and thought I would share the system I use to manage it (and most other web content).
In Elfeed I have two tiers of RSS subscriptions managed via tags. I have "normal" subscriptions, where I just add any feed that seems remotely interesting to me, and a "favourites" tag to fast-track things that are important to me. I use a number of filters to separate the feeds by category, and have a master "favourites" feed as the default entry. That way I can easily keep updated on important stuff AND have the option to browse more broadly interesting stuff if I want.

@mms I also use Elfeed to manage journal article searches with Elfeed-Score, so I can confirm it can handle a bagillion entries :bec_smile:
