@chowderman Excellent article. Especially his point that overusing this word creates an impression of the russian steamroller just grinding their way to strategic victory after strategic victory.
So much of the reporting on this war has been just so frustrating. I remember when russia launched into Kharkiv in early summer and it was breathless about how it was almost a masterstroke and Kharkiv would surely fall - and they're still fighting over Vovchansk, 5km from the border, 4 months later.
