Imagine you're at a conference surrounded by dozens of posters. What makes you stop and take a closer look? Often, it’s the title. But if your title is merely descriptive—like “Urban Air Pollution and Public Health”—it doesn't tell your audience anything specific. They’re left wondering, “So what?” and might just move on.
The problem with these titles is that they only describe the topic, not the outcome. They don’t answer the key questions your audience has: What is your main message?
