Weee! This #mastodon server filled up it's disk and I had to add more storage to the #linode

Will be really happy when my ISP gets the fiber installed in our little village and I can repatriate all my cloud stuff home.

It's coming - they are running the fiber along the poles but who knows how much longer it's going to take - it's been all summer in fits and spurts.

@chris hope it works out better than fibre here. I'm happy with my current provider but the council refuses to let the new one fully connect their network. So we have the fibre 10 feet from the door but seems it will never get connected... lol

@3dcandy I'm hoping it won't be an issue! Afaik the townships in Ontario have nowhere near the local powers of what I've seen mentioned re: UK councils. For good and bad I guess.

Seems weird to have cable laid and not able to connect it... Makes me question motives for something like that.

(Realized I'm just assuming you are in the UK by diction and meaning - are you? 😀)

@chris yes I am... but it's so erm red tapey (that should be a phrase). I am happy as I said we have 950 meg down and 105 up already, but I'd like options! We can't have an ev either as there is no way for a charging point.... but hey it could be worse

I'm stuck on LTE based connection with a 25/10 Mb up/down and 650 GB cap. Seeing the world through a drinking straw. Ha!

@chris ours is cable based but when we moved here was only viable option. We get our TV through it as well. Wifey is disabled so it is a ground floor flat/apartment so that causes many of the issues...
