Update on the uBitx v6... out of desperation, I swapped the main board, which puts me way above my budget, but the radio has other annoying problems. The frequency refuses to remain calibrated after I calibrate it & I have reports of loud noise that resembles that of a vinyl record being manually manipulated while playing, along with distorted audio. At this point, I'm at a loss. If it's not one thing, it's another. At least digi modes work... barely. Very frustrating!

@KJ7OMO that is very strange

@KJ7OMO FWIW I found with my uBitx the SWR and impedance to the antenna had to be near perfect, otherwise the I'd get distortion reports too..

@KJ7OMO Seems to point to the so called "Raduino" board.
Connectors/cables, failing voltage regulators/caps, bad solder joints : the usual suspects in this case.
If confirmed, this would mean that the big RF board is working, which is good news.
First, maybe remove the battery (if present), then swap the external power supply, if you have another one ?
