@Paxxi I think you're missing the point that the 200 year history of photography is of manipulation getting incrementally easier and more widely accessible, this is just another point on a long trend line

@djm Also, we are perfectly used to text being an unreliable medium, which has never really been a problem. We can still use text to communicate truth, and we mostly correctly trust it or not depending to the context – unless we are either stupid or fanatics (where I define fanatic as someone who uses their opinions to evaluate evidence instead of the reverse). There may be a psychological “seeing is believing” issue but come on, as you point out we have handled it before!
