I do it and my boyfriend finds it very annoying. We don't have much space so they end up on the window sill otherwise, which to me looks a little... ghetto...

@nsa Wait are you talking about in the warming tray at the bottom of the stove? That's definitely storage for us, especially our cookie sheets and casserole dishes.

@nsa I think I'm with your boyfriend on that last one 😂

Growing up and into the present pots and pans otherwise have gone into a lower kitchen cabinet. But if you don't have the luxury of enough cabinet space...what about a pots and pans rack on the wall, or heck even one that hangs down from the ceiling?

@nsa I need an option for "my wife/SO insists we do and I actually find it wildly inconvenient."

To be clear, though, that's bevause, usually if I'm using the oven, I kind of need space, like, on the counter and stuff to prepare things, and putting the pots and pans elsewhere just makes them get in the way. I'd prefer we put them away, we do actually have the space.

@nsa my late immigrant grandmother used to store her chips and snacks in the oven. She claimed it made them last longer before going stale, but we've cooked so many bags of chips, so it was mostly a wash lol
