I am becoming genuinely concerned that document-based #SwiftData applications are just going to not work in #iPadOS18 with #SwiftUI. They flat out fail to properly initialize a data store for the models they are expected to store. Apple's own example code from last year's #WWDC introduction of the capability does not work at all.

I reported this back in Beta 1, and there's been ZERO improvement or even engagement on the issue since. ☹️

I also posted this in the Developer Forum when I first encountered it: https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/757172

We were told this was the place for app devs to get active support from Apple engineers.

Crickets since. 🦗
