I missed the "buildable folders" feature from the Xcode 16 release notes. This is going to be really helpful—avoiding the most common cause of merge conflicts—just need to manually apply it to existing projects.

@jaredsinclair @gernot it’s good stuff and has been mostly bug-free since beta 1. we’ve been adopting it since then and haven’t looked back.

Actually it’s a one click action to convert a group to a folder, even reversible. Xcode supports any kind of exceptions there, so the build and the result should not change at all.
