been a while since I mentioned this but I've moved a lot of my activity over to @technomancy@hey.hagelb.org which is my account on my home-hosted gotosocial server

(I'm not abandoning this account, but I'm moving more and more over to that one, partly because I'm excited about the direction of gotosocial and I don't feel great about the choices made by mastodon's leadership)

@feoh not really but the short version is a) the mastodon board having VCs and bitcoin bros on it, b) m.s having an abysmal mod/user ratio but still refusing to close signups and c) basically everything Are0h says about the way they keep refusing to listen to the safety recommendations of bipoc users because they want to grow at all costs
