When searching for "Geert" in my email, Gmail now also shows emails containing "Gert", unless I put the search term inside double quotes 😞

When using search queries like "has:blue-star" (I use different colored stars to mark patches I still have to process), Gmail shows only one page of results ("1-50 of 50"). I have to change a drop-down menu from "Most relevant" to "Most recent" to see them all ("1-50 of many") 😞
