@Impossible_PhD As an older white guy with no background in education, much less the doctorate in Rhetoric and Composition - how can we do better? I'm asking because some of the things are taken care of in Germany, but how would I argument for less homework? Thank you for the food for thought :)

@Pinsel I'm not familiar with the details of how your education system is set up in Germany, so I can't offer specific, quality advice on it. I'm an American educator, unfortunately, which means that I'm intimately familiar with our batshit insane system, paasingly familiar with education in Canada, the UK, and that's about it.
Each country runs its systems differently, so each county needs different things. I'd suggest getting in touch with local organizations aimed at education reform.

@Impossible_PhD sure, I get that. From the underlying point of view (and I abstract a lot here) you don’t need homework if the environment ensures basic human needs met. If that’s somewhat correct, where or how can I learn that homework doesn’t generate the value that is perceived. Does that make sense?
