Picture of a birthday cake with 8 candles arranged in a row. Of the candles only the 2 are burning - from the left the first and the fifth - which shows the binary number 0001001. Caption: Happy 17th Birthday.

We do this a lot - after a certain number of candles, a birthday cake is just a sea of fire, so going binary is a good solution.
