Web admins of the world, I need your help!
I'm in the process of setting up a forum for my game, but it needs transactional email to work for things like user registration and what not.
But searching for email providers online is doing my head in :blobcatangery:
What transactional email providers do you guys recommend that is suitable for a small number of sends, and is cheap-ish and reliable?
I don't plan to do marketing emails at all, and privacy is a big plus.

@drwhut Postmark https://postmarkapp.com/ is the best I've used. I wouldn't even bother with cheaper alternatives if deliverability is important to you. All my clients who start out using SendGrid, Mailgun, et al, eventually switch to Postmark and are happy. They only offer 100 messages per month on the free plan. Smallest paid plan is $15 for 10,000 per month.

@com That was one of the most highly-regarded ones that I saw on my travels, but unfortunately I can't make an account with any of my emails, since they all have popular domains e.g. Gmail.
I understand why they have that limitation in place, but it locks me out completely :blobcatcry:

@drwhut Another option to consider is MailChannels. While their plans start at $500/month (I know, right?), you can purchase through their reseller, Naranjatec, who offers plans as low as €125/year: https://mailchannels.naranjatec.com/
MailChannels is not just for transactional mail. We use them for our general mail servers for all outgoing messages, and deliverability is excellent.
