@philonous I think I prefer itchio. More diversity overall. More "pay what you want". More contact with the authors. More amateur too.

@otyugh I agree with you! I support devs who put their games on itchio but, except for indies, they sadly aren't numerous.

GOG is a platform that dreams of finally dropping the DRM-free pretence and becoming a new Steam. They actually already made many moves towards that since 2014.
The only thing they have for them, compared to other DRM-free games distributors, is the availability of some renowned big games.

@vv221 They indeed made some very questionable choices, like their partnerships with Amazon or Epic, but I hope they will keep their engagements against DRMs and toward offline installers.

To me their worst decision, by very far, was to start the development of a "not really mandatory, that’s a promise" games downloader/launcher imitating the Steam one.
Since the initial release of Galaxy, the experience for users of the DRM-free offline installers has been slowly but steadily deteriorating.
