I'm on the train home from the mini GUADEC in Berlin. As always, I am sad to have to say goodbye to friends new and old.

With recent events it has been a very tough trip, but I'm so grateful for the mutual respect and kindness that has been on display over the past few days. Our community is amazing. ♥️

@allanday thank you so much for everything you do for the GNOME project, community, and Foundation. It’s often thankless work—especially the really tough behind-the-scenes stuff—but it’s so critical. And folks do appreciate it, even if we’re all sometimes bad at vocalizing it enough.

We’re privileged to have you back on the board, and I look forward to what we will accomplish at the Foundation over the coming years. I wish I could have met up again in person; next time!
