Stop wasting your time trying to convince your racist uncle of the error of his ways. Elections are won by whoever can turn out the vote, not by changing minds. Concentrate on making sure that everyone you know actually bothers to vote.
I know it may feel pointless if you're not in a battleground state, but we got here in no small part due to apathy for local elections.
