[#]FediTip to stop the #DoomScrolling

Go to "Settings" and tick "enable advanced interface" and then "back to Mastodon". You'll see a few columns. Go to each one and click on the preferences symbol in the top right corner and then "unpin". Do this even with the home timeline and notifications.

Then search for #BloomScrolling and click on the hashtag. A new column will appear. Go to the preferences for that column and pin it. You can also add other hashtags like #florespondence, #LichenSubscribe, #caturday #DogsOfFediverse or whatever you want to see. Make sure not to add anything controversial.

When things cool down and you are ready for bad news again, go back to the basic interface or pin the home timeline and notifications again. Or do so never.

@PaulaToThePeople Thanks very much for this -- I don't know how I've never tried the advanced interface, but it makes much better use of the screen space, also gets rid of the 'Explore' tab, which always seems the most twitter-like bit of Mastodon, and something I'm now trying to avoid.
