Bit the bullet and migrated from mastodon.cloud to mastodon.social. Which explains why I have zero posts — they are still at the old profile https://mastodon.cloud/@hboon

The process was simpler than I thought:

1. Create new account at the site you want to move to

2. At the new account, create an alias to the old one

3. At the old account, configure migration to the new account. This moves the followers

Followers are automatically moved when you migrate.

You can manually export followings and block/mute list from the old account and import them at the new account.

No way to move posts. They are still accessible at the old account.

Have to manually fill in the account profile, including any links to your own websites (and you'll want to update those to verify your new account).

Your old account will have a banner informing readers that you have migrated and display a link to the new account.
