Hi #sap, #sapcap fellows, is there a tutorial / guide to develop a new database adapter for #sapcap or do I have to dive into the source code of existing ones?

@htammen What DB do you want to add? Beside the #SAP supported #SQLite, #PostgreSQL and #HANA adapter there is already one for #MySQL (https://github.com/Soontao/cds-mysql)

@htammen @duckdb played with #DuckDB just recently and used https://erpl.io/ to connect to the #ABAP developer edition. Great experience so far. Regarind a #sapcap adapter there isn't any "how to build a database adapter tutorial". But looking at the existing SQLite adapter should be the best starting point as https://duckdb.org/docs/api/nodejs/overview.html mentions that the Client API is somewhat compatible to it.

@gregorw @duckdb Thank you, I already had a brief look at the #SQLite adapter and thought that this may be the on that is most closely to @duckdb.

@gregorw @htammen erpl.io/ looks like something I could nicely integrate in my lecture next term. Thanks for the link! π€π€
